英国ナショナル・バレエ団（ENB）が行う、毎年恒例の未来のダンサーを選ぶイベント「Emerging Dancer」、今年はセザール・コラレスさんが優勝および観客賞を受賞したと、ENBの公式ブログの記事「Cesar Corrales wins Emerging Dancer 2016」が伝えていますね。
Junior Soloist Cesar Corrales won our Emerging Dancer award last night at the London Palladium, following his performance of Contrabajo para hombre solo by Julio Lopez and a pas de deux from Diana & Acteon (with fellow finalist Rina Kanehara). Corrales also received the People’s Choice Award, voted for by the public throughout our season.
ちなみにセザール・コラレスさんのパ・ド・ドゥのお相手は金原里奈さんでした。
審査員のタマラ・ロホさんのコメントはこちら。
“Cesar is a very charismatic artist. He has an incredibly polished classical technique, and the ability to move in many different ways. Having performed on stage since he was a young boy, he understand audiences and how to perform for them. I’m not surprised that British audiences have fallen in love with him.”
「セザールはカリスマ的なアーティスト」や「洗練されたクラシックのテクニックを持っている」、「イギリスの観客は彼と恋に落ちていた」などと絶賛のようです。
